Leg Press is a beginner exercise for building leg strength for performing heavy weight exercises like squats. This exercise primarily targets muscle groups including quads, glutes and hamstrings. It is performed using a leg press machine.
- Lie down on the leg press machine and put your legs on the machine’s platform. The distance between your feet should be one or one and a half feet.
- Now press the platform upwards till your legs are fully stretched without locking your knees.
- Slowly lower the platform while breathing in till the point when your lower and upper legs make a 90 degree.
- Now with the help of the heels of your feet, and using your quads, push the platform back to the top.
